The Hype Heloise Small Tote is not only EXPENSIVE, but honestly WHY would anyone pay that much for a tote when you could find one almost the same at J.C.Penney’s or Macy’s, for a much lower price and still have great quaility. Please!

I bought this item nearly a year ago and use it perhaps several times a month for a days at a time. I thought the purse was trendy and made a statement with its bold patent-leather finish and grommets. I’ve gotten lots of compliments and I can say that it is capable of holding a bit of items — the only thing to consider is that the purse is broken down into three deep compartments — one main section and two sections which sandwich it. All sections have zip closure — which sometimes I find a bit much to work again and again. I don’t use the side pockets (also with zip closure) that much, but they would come in handy for a cell phone or another small item (keys, perhaps). The one thing that has (sort of) bothered me: it’s very heavy. Being a handbag, not one which you can throw over your shoulder, it weighs down your wrist. But, I can say that the quality has not been an issue with me. I beat up my bags and haven’t noticed any wear or tear at all (I bought the black version). I did find mine at a third of the price, too, which wasn’t too shabby…

I loved the look of this bag and really did my research before making the purchase. The item arrived looking exactly as it does in the picture, but unfortunately it became clear within a few weeks that it isn’t built for daily use and simply can’t withstand normal wear and tear.
Glued pieces started coming loose within a few weeks, and now less than a year later, it looks about ten 10 years old. In years past when I traveled extensively on business I always used COACH bags and they were great, never let me down. I hardly ever travel anymore, and still based on what Ive seen, the quality of this bag doesn’t come close to the COACH brand, and if you look at the price its not all that much cheaper.
Since everyone’s idea of wear and tear is different, I’ve posted some pictures of my bag.

I’m so excited about the quality of this purse! I am super picky and wanted a leather purse of good quality, yet hip and reasonably priced. I originally found this purse at Endless.com for $325. I really wanted it but it was WAY out of my budget. I later thought to look on amazon and they had it. I would recommend looking at pictures on endless.com b/c you can zoom in and really get an idea of the bag. Then I matched the name and dimensions to the purses on Amazon.
The purse has beautiful leather, very hip, trendy, and easy to use. The compartments are awesome, perfect for keys, cell, etc. versus diving in the whole purse. The interior doesn’t have much to offer which is fine since most of the purse has compartments not only on the side, but w/i the body of the purse. This is a purse you would hold by hand or hang on you elbow area. It’s not really made to go over the shoulder. Happy Hunting!
