This bag lasted me a very long time before I replaced it with another Travelon bag. It was this one that got me hooked on Travelon. I love the amount of pockets that all of their across the shoulder bags have, and i really love the cell phone pocket on this one. It made my phone very easily accessible. The strap was simply amazing. It was very thick and durable and never ripped off like on another Travelon bag I’ve owned. The whole diagonal strap thing was a little annoying, but other than that no complaints. I liked how it was adjustable. I love the flap because it keeps everything safe, but the magnet was horrible. It eventually broke up and there was only 1 so the flap would bounce around in an annoying manner. Apparently the new ones have two magnets that are on the inside of the material, though, so maybe that’s an improvement in comparison to the older one I own. The material itself held up for a very long time before it started to frey, and I really love the shiny black look. It’s minimalistic, yet still very stylish and stood the test of time before the magnet came off.
After this bag, I’ve owned 3 other Travelon bags and I highly recommend this brand. Other purses I’ve owned always broke right away or the material got really dirty and ripped/frayed very quickly. the material on Travelon bags is not only durable, it’s easy to clean. Once I got a bunch of coffee and dirt on this bag, but I simply took a clean wet-nap and wiped it clean and the purse looked good as new!
the amount of pockets is awesome and I love all the compartments for how small these purses usually are. I can’t wait for new Travelon bags to come out because they are always unique and have different features. They also sell at reasonable prices.

I was given one of these bags in 2004 approximately (at least this what the copyright tag is dated inside the bag). I was very pleased with it, even though the detachable flashlight was lost like the first day. The black material is, I’m not sure, called microfiber? In any case, the bag has worn VERY badly and noticeably–it’s a wreck of its former self, and I don’t consider myself hard on clothing, luggage, etc. I see now where they are making this bag in leather, which hopefully wears a lot better.
It is a very useful bag that I (male) use everyday, for my wallet, Day-Timer book, receipts, eye-glasses fix-it kit, etc. It is excellent, useful, unlike the first reviewer, I like the magnetic catch and nothing has ever fallen out of my bag. The size is excellent.
It is just the durability of the nylon and the sewing that was poor. Eventually, the cell phone velcro cover came unsewed, and I was considering sewing it back on, but the increasingly poor condition of the bag makes me think what’s the point, it’s time for a new bag, in leather.

Although I like the way you can wear it across your body and have your hands free it is not big enough to hold very much at all and you can’t really put anything in all the slots/pockets because since there are no zippers, just a magnetic latch, it’s too easy for everything to fall out.

This is a wonderful purse. I absolutely love it….. I feel very safe having a purse across my shoulder and I don’t have to worry about carrying it…. Best purchase I’ve ever made. Great for the mall, vacations, and every day use. I totally recommend it….

I bought this bag for a trip abroad three years ago. I was very happy with it then and I’m surprised to find that I still wear it every day! I’m a busy mom so it doubles as a purse and small diaper bag. It’s perfect for everyday essentials.
As a travel bag I love it but use with caution. When I’m traveling, I often leave my hotel early in the morning and don’t return until late in the evening. I’m always struggling with where to put all my stuff that I may need throughout the many adventures during the day. This bag fit the bill! I never expected it to be secure so I stored such items as a bottle of water, a guide book and a light shawl in the main pocket. In the “secret” pocket in the strap that sits right at my sternum I put a ~10-20 euros for small purchases throughout the day, espressos, slices of pizza, gelato, etc. I still wore a passport carrier under my clothes for the bulk of my cash and passport. This way I had cash accessible without having to dig down my shirt but I wouldn’t be out much if somehow the bag was taken off me (which would be difficult given the quality of straps). Overall this method has been a great plan. I even had someone rifle through my baggallini while I was wearing it once in Florence in a crowd. I noticed in time and was able to turn away but all I would have lost were replaceable items. Using the bag in this way, I think you’ll be quite happy.
Three years later the bag is in great shape. I’m very hard on things and the bag has held up perfectly. I’ve even thrown it in the wash.

I can’t believe I paid this much for a bag of such weird quality. The bag’s material is flimsy and light, while the strap is heavy and bulky, made of something like seatbelt webbing, it’s really slippery and falls off your shoulder. The bag looks much bigger in the picture than it really is. Not a messenger bag at all, more like a little purse - for those who actually need their bag to carry more than keys and a wallet, the large compartment is not really big enough. Also, the tomato red is really orange, not like the red in the photo. All in all I’m really sorry I bought this.

This is the greatest bag I’ve ever had… no need for hands, you sling it behind you go go go! My cell is right in the front for easy access and there are enough pockets in this thing to satisfy anyone! Great bag!

I purchased this bag for my trip to Egypt. It held all my personal stuff, camera and water. The only small thing I didn’t like about the bag was the strap. It rubbed against my shoulder, which hurt a little but other than that a great bag to purchase!

With having two children this bag really helps me out. I do use it as a purse and can also keep wipes, lotion, and things I may need for each given day. Has plenty of room for my needs. Love having my hands free and not constantly holding on to the strap to ensure it stays on my shoulder.
