This bag lasted me a very long time before I replaced it with another Travelon bag. It was this one that got me hooked on Travelon. I love the amount of pockets that all of their across the shoulder bags have, and i really love the cell phone pocket on this one. It made my phone very easily accessible. The strap was simply amazing. It was very thick and durable and never ripped off like on another Travelon bag I’ve owned. The whole diagonal strap thing was a little annoying, but other than that no complaints. I liked how it was adjustable. I love the flap because it keeps everything safe, but the magnet was horrible. It eventually broke up and there was only 1 so the flap would bounce around in an annoying manner. Apparently the new ones have two magnets that are on the inside of the material, though, so maybe that’s an improvement in comparison to the older one I own. The material itself held up for a very long time before it started to frey, and I really love the shiny black look. It’s minimalistic, yet still very stylish and stood the test of time before the magnet came off.
After this bag, I’ve owned 3 other Travelon bags and I highly recommend this brand. Other purses I’ve owned always broke right away or the material got really dirty and ripped/frayed very quickly. the material on Travelon bags is not only durable, it’s easy to clean. Once I got a bunch of coffee and dirt on this bag, but I simply took a clean wet-nap and wiped it clean and the purse looked good as new!
the amount of pockets is awesome and I love all the compartments for how small these purses usually are. I can’t wait for new Travelon bags to come out because they are always unique and have different features. They also sell at reasonable prices.

Bought the bag for my daughter for her laptop, alot of handy pockets and she takes it everywhere with her, alittle expensive but well worth it.

First off, I’m very picky about my man-purses, so I might be more critical than most.
Pros:
- Dual water bottle pockets - this one is big
- Sturdy construction
- Good size
- Enough pockets that everything has its place
- My 13″ Macbook fit nicely - not too much wiggle room to slide around in
Cons:
- The rectangular plastic ring that connects the strap to the bag always gets turned around sideways, so the strap can’t easily be adjusted. I cut them out and replaced them with heavy duty carabiners.
- The strap is pretty long. I like my bags to rest higher on my back, and even adjusted to its shortest, the strap was too long for me.
- Bag doesn’t really flex, so it won’t fit like a Timbuk2 bag would - it’s more rigid
With a better strap, this bag may well have been perfect. I’m hanging on to mine, just in case I come across a strap that can pull it all together.

This is a nice bag. Has lots of compartments and would hold all my accessories. Unfortunatly, it was too small for my gigantic 17″ laptop. If only the product info listed the dimensions of the laptop sleave, I would not have to go to all the trouble of getting another bag. If only this bag would have held my laptop, it would have been nice, and trendy too.

From outside the bag looks great. As they say looks can be deceptive. Thats what happened. I have more than few complaints:
1. One of the customer appreciated space it offers in his/her review. Sadly I couldn’t find any. After putting the power-cable and mouse, I was not able to put in a notebook without bending it. If you need to put in more stuff, just forget it.
2. The strap link are poorly designed. The strap folds over to its corners. So much ado over its good looks.
I was so excited when I ordered it. Now I am so disappointed

There is nothing inherently wrong with this bag, but I ended up returning it. The “wasabe” color was much brighter than in the picture, more like a raw avocado, and the bag felt large for my computer even though the size was “small.”
Also, it’s very lightweight, which is probably a bonus for many people, but I was going to use it on my commuter bicycle and I think if it fell off onto the street there would be little to no protection.
A tight-fitting notebook carrier from REI ended up being exactly what I needed. It had full body shock protection and a robust outer ballistic nylon material.

… and what it is is basically a glorified laptop sleeve. The bag is very small and only has room for my laptop - a 14″ Sony Vaio - although it does have a zippered compartment I found that I could only stick a few papers and a pen in there without creating major stretching. The two handles are sewn together, which I personally don’t care for. On the plus side, there is a strap inside that goes across your laptop and since the sides are formed instead of flat, there’s more protection and stability if you plan on carrying the bag around.

I researched a number of laptop sleeves for price, looks, degree of protection, and portability. This is the one I finally ordered, and I’m glad I did. The price is very moderate, and the sleeve is cool-looking. More importantly, the sleeve seems well enough constructed to save the laptop from small-to-moderate bumps and falls. Also, it fits neatly into my briefcase. Five-star value!

This is a nice lightweight laptop bag. Very simple and clean lines. It is also priced very well. I recommend it highly!

This is really a laptop slipcase which you would insert into a larger bag while travelling, or you would use it for short trips in your car for example. I have looked at many laptop sleeves in stores. The brain bucket’s padding is among the best. Perhaps only the Sumdex memory foam slipcase could offer more protection.
The brain bucket mini has quality construction and light, weighing in under one pound! It fits my work Dell Latitude D600 14.1″ screen perfectly and offers very good protection. The side pocket accomodates the Dell power supply and a slim binder. Although the literature says it will fit most 14″ and 15″ laptops, it was about 1/2″ too small for my wife’s 15.4″ widescreen Vaio laptop. If you have a 15.4″ widescreen slipcase, then look at the regular size brain bucket.
I would have given this bag a rating of 5 stars, but I deducted one star because it does not have a detachable shoulder strap. I would also have liked a zippered side pocket to prevent objects from slipping out - but thats asking too much.

I’ve had this bag for about 6 months. I bought it for the shape and design and I still like those features. I wanted a bag I could carry messenger style diagonally across my body. I find that it hangs just fine on me and I can carry it hands free which is what I wanted. The interior design has some faults including lots of little pockets that are open on top and don’t reliably hold things. The nylon lining bunches up and easily turns inside out when you remove stuff which is very annoying. The magnets that hold the outer flap closed are weak and have to be lined up perfectly to catch which is also annoying. The strap is starting to fray where it is attached to the bag on the side. Nonetheless, I continue to use mine and prefer this design to others I’ve seen and used.

I did not like this item, it was too big and floppy. The big flap on the front did not have a button or clasp to hold it shut, so if you bend down or over your stuff in the front will keep falling out which was very frustrating to me. The strap did not have anything to stay on your shoulder so it kept cutting into my neck. I did like all of the compartments that it did have. You really can put everything in this. I only rated this a 3 star

Excellent over the shoulder bag, it holds all of handy tourist items, like camera, money, hotel keys, bottle water, and any little item I pickup at the store.

If you put anything in the flap compartment other than a piece of paper the flap pulls the rest of the bag down and hangs open. If you attach some velcro to the flap then it might work. If you get this, plan on using only the main compartments. Lays down better on someone slender. Not for curvy ladies.

The bag is well balanced, hanging much better than any shoulder bag I’ve ever had, and is lightweight. However, it is important to note that– contrary to what the product description says– because it is a messenger bag, and not a shoulder bag, it will ONLY hang ergonomically correct if worn just like the picture shows. That is, strap over the right shoulder, bag over the left hip. Also, it has quite a few pockets that are open-ended to hold the little bottles required for air travel, so I am learning how to use those effectively.
I rarely fly, but do use the subway every day. The hidden pocket is perfect for important papers & forms and I keep a little Sudoku book inside the front pocket. Normally compact, the bag expands to hold small purchases, Prescriptions, etc. leaving my hands free, which makes it much easier to travel on crowded subway trains.

I bought this bag for a trip abroad three years ago. I was very happy with it then and I’m surprised to find that I still wear it every day! I’m a busy mom so it doubles as a purse and small diaper bag. It’s perfect for everyday essentials.
As a travel bag I love it but use with caution. When I’m traveling, I often leave my hotel early in the morning and don’t return until late in the evening. I’m always struggling with where to put all my stuff that I may need throughout the many adventures during the day. This bag fit the bill! I never expected it to be secure so I stored such items as a bottle of water, a guide book and a light shawl in the main pocket. In the “secret” pocket in the strap that sits right at my sternum I put a ~10-20 euros for small purchases throughout the day, espressos, slices of pizza, gelato, etc. I still wore a passport carrier under my clothes for the bulk of my cash and passport. This way I had cash accessible without having to dig down my shirt but I wouldn’t be out much if somehow the bag was taken off me (which would be difficult given the quality of straps). Overall this method has been a great plan. I even had someone rifle through my baggallini while I was wearing it once in Florence in a crowd. I noticed in time and was able to turn away but all I would have lost were replaceable items. Using the bag in this way, I think you’ll be quite happy.
Three years later the bag is in great shape. I’m very hard on things and the bag has held up perfectly. I’ve even thrown it in the wash.
